Nobody's Happy

With the recent introduction of iPhone 5 and the release of iOS 6, many gadget geeks have criticized Apple's lack of innovation in its latest product. Has our perception of technology changed for the worse?

As Louis C.K. aptly noted, "Everything is amazing right now and nobody's happy."

  3. This is funny! Hard core Android user here. :) But this does kind of remind of the sociology theories of nostalgia, "Everything was better back when ..." Kind of glorifying the previous improvements, and not recognizing what's great right now. I liked your cartoon so I wanted to comment.

    1. Thanks Melody! I haven't had much experience with Androids but it's been a pretty fierce battle between the two platforms...the latest Samsung attack is pretty hilarious!

  4. Hi Jacky, have you got the 5? Do you recommend it? I've got the 4 and it's still in great condition so thought I'd wait another 6 - 12 months before upgrading. Apart from the bigger screen it seemed like most of the key features are under the hood with the iPhone 5.

    1. I currently have the 4S, which I prefer over the 5 since both phones now have the exact same software. In order words, I prefer the design of the 4S. I'd say you should wait for iPhone 6 to come out, unless you are really anxious to have a panorama camera or to see how bad Apple Maps can be haha.

  5. I'm really considering switching to an iPhone. I use a droid now and haven't been very pleased. However, I'm worried about what that may say about me politically with all the issues surrounding iPhone factories.

I sort of doubt Motorola's working conditions are much better, though.

And, man, I love Louis C.K. He is absolutely right. Everything IS amazing.

  6. I'm gonna ramble a bit :P
I don't really like iPhones personally (or any other, iPads, iPods, etc), they all annoy me so much! First, iTunes is terrible for me. Very disorganized, not user friendly and terrible with your device! I have had an iPod and have used other peoples iPhones, and the software on there doesn't really fit me. Also, the "app community" always bothered me.
Back to the terrible with device, my sisters almost are never able to sync their devices anymore. Also, when something has to update, everything seems to go wrong- apps being lost, stuff not syncing, iTunes not knowing it is connected to the device.
Also, here a few things I don't like with iPad... Speakers aren't good, pretty much no bass (small issue though :D). I do not like the cost at all. I could get a Samsung, google, windows tablet for MUCH cheaper and be MUCH more satisfied.
I also dislike how "cheap" their support is. I tried to contact Apple once about a problem with an app and I could never get an answer from them. I have trouble syncing with my iPod once(more like a lot, but for this case), and they wouldn't let me log in to iTunes to sync, even though I had logged in and authorized that computer before (I always used that computer for this).
Probably have gone on long enough now!

I use a Windows Phones, and I LOVE it very much. I have never had a problem with syncing, updating or anything of those matters. Zune is VERY user friendly for me. I also use an Xbox and syncing things with my Xbox360 eventually over to my phone (from computer) is very simple and pleasing. Like, if I bought a show, say Psych, on my Xbox, it would instantly sync with my account to my computer. Then I just drag to sync with the phone and it syncs! Plus I get a keypad which I love.

Anyway, I best be going. All in all: Love my HTC Arrive Windows Phone, hate iPhones! :-)
